On Matchday 4 of the Icon League Season Two, FC PLYRS UNITED suffered their first blow. In a slugfest, the team lost 4-2 to Two Stripes United – despite strong comeback attempts and brilliant combination play.
It became clear early on: This wouldn't be a walk in the park. In the second minute, Two Stripes hit the crossbar—a first warning signal. The answer came in the eighth minute: Maximilian Grünberg perfectly passed to our number 77, Nikola Kosanić , who coolly finished to make it 1-0 . 🔥
But Two Stripes turned things around: They equalized in the 11th minute, and shortly after (12th) took the lead – 1:2 . Then, in the 14th minute, it was 1:3 , a bitter blow. 😤
🚨 Rulebreaker "Superiority" brings hope
Immediately after conceding their third goal, the PLYRS pulled their rulebreaker, " Man Power ," and Stefan Winkel promptly reduced the score to 2:3 with an assist from Maxi Grünberg. 💪 Hope sprouted!
But Two Stripes also knew how to react and countered with the same rulebreaker in the 19th minute. Then, in the final minute of the game, the knockout came: 4:2 , and thus the first defeat of the season for the PLYRS.
