What a thriller! Matchday 6 of the Icon League Season Two had everything for FC PLYRS UNITED – dream goals, rule-breaking action, a red card, and a thrilling penalty shootout. In the end, just a little bit of luck was missing – DNA Athletics prevailed 7-5 on penalties .
The PLYRS took the lead 1-0 in the 5th minute thanks to a superb free kick from Joshua Holtby (No. 10) . Shortly after , Stefan Winkel (No. 8) coolly capitalized on a double error by the opponent and the goalkeeper to make it 2-0! 🔥
But DNA responded immediately – a shot bounced off the post and into the net: 2-1. The turning point came in the 16th minute: DNA ignited their rulebreaker "Hero Ball," which counts double, and converted directly to make it 2-3. Suddenly, the PLYRS were behind.
