The second matchday of Icon League Season Three was all about emotions, music, and intense battles. Before kickoff , Salim Montari gave everyone goosebumps β the artist was there live for the PLYRS' legendary pre-match ceremony and performed his song. π€π₯
π― Early brace from Mergim Dervishaj!
The PLYRS started the game at full throttle: In the 3rd minute , our number 23, Mergim Dervishaj , unleashed a superb long-range shot β 1:0! π₯
But The Pack responded lightning-fast β just five seconds later they equalized at 1:1 .
The PLYRS weren't fazed: Dervishaj struck again in the same minute, putting the team back in the lead β 2:1! β½π₯
β±οΈ The Pack turns up the heat β and uses their numerical advantage.
The game turned around in the 9th minute : The Pack first scored to make it 2-2 , then just seconds later to take a 2-3 lead .
A foul by the PLYRS then resulted in a 2-minute penalty , which The Pack cleverly used: They activated the rulebreaker βGolden Ballβ , which counts every goal twice β and kept the pressure high.
After the break , Marcel Kosuch (#27) brought back hope in the 13th minute β 3:3 ! πͺ
The PLYRS then pulled their rulebreaker "Golden Ball" in the 16th minute , but the momentum remained with The Pack:
17th minute: The Pack goalkeeper scored a spectacular long-range shot β 3:4 π±
18th minute: Former PLYRS forward Stefan Winkel increased the score to 3:5.
19th minute: The Pack extends their lead β 3:6
22nd minute: The score of 3:7 seals the deficit.
In the final seconds, our number 8, Jure PusiΔ , scored a powerful goal to make it 4-7 . β½
